Today is Mother's Day in Mexico. It is always on May 10. So I want to wish all Mothers a beautiful day. Especially my mama.
I love you very much, and thank you for all the love you have given me. God Bless you, Mama!

You are lucky to have your family close by! Mine are spread out all over the place and that's not fun when there are holidays like Mother's Day. A phone call just doesn't do it ;) when you want to hug your mother!
My mom is not close. I live in Mexico and she lives in Puerto Rico. She sent the photo by e-mail.
I know what you mean. I haven't seen her in about 5 years! I miss her terribly. Also one brother is in Miami, the other in Orlando, and a sister in Atlanta! Haven't seen them for even longer. We usually communicate by Skype.
Hope to see any of them soon....
Your mother's amazing! My mother died a few years ago and we were not close.
My Mom and I are pretty close emotionally (I'm her only daughter, my sister is from my dad's 2nd marriage), but we are so far apart by thousands of kilometers!
I was also very close to my dad. He died 13 years ago. I miss him so very much. Sometimes I forget he passed away and say things like "I can't remember how certain events happened, I better call and ask him". So funny, my kids just look at me as if I'm crazy!
I just found your blog and love it. I will be going to Mexico City in July and can't wait. Are you close to MC?
Hola! I'm an Elementary Spanish teacher in Kansas, just found your blog today via Crafty Crow. I'm excited to share some of your pictures and stories with my students tomorrow. We're almost done with school for this year, but would you be interested in doing an email exchange between your students and mine next year? Or something else? I know they'd love it. I teach K-6.
Oh-and I love your blog. :)
Hi Yolanda,
I live a 4 hour drive from Mexico City. I may be going in July, my husband's family lives there. I'll let you know...thanks for commenting!
Hi Betsyann,
As soon as the new school year starts I'll ask for permission so the students can exchange e-mails, I think it would be great! I`m glad you liked the blog enough so as to show it to your students (yay), and I think your blog is gresat also!
What a beautiful message to your Mother. I know you love and miss her so much, Angie. I hope you will be able to visit her soon.
And, I hope your own celebration of Mother's Day was spent enjoying your sons. They are so lucky to have you as their Mother.
Thanks you so much, Pam! Your daughter is also very lucky to have you as her Mom!
Angie, hope your Dia de las Madres was wonderful and that you get to see your mom soon. Skype is remarkable, though, isn't it? And then it's free to boot.
Oh, I love Skype, Candance!!! My mother-in-law (!) uses it a lot. She says she would have never, ever thought something like this could exist. Of course, we take lots of technology for granted, but still, pretty awesome...
Oh wow!! wish I could do that!
